This course introduces participants to the concepts and principles of the National Protection Framework. The goal of this course is to familiarize participants with the National Protection Framework, which describes the way that the whole community safeguards against acts of terrorism, natural disasters, and other threats or hazards.

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, the participants will be able to describe how the National Protection Framework is applied to help protect our Nation from acts of terrorism and other threats or hazards.

At the end of the lessons, participants will be able to describe:

  • The purpose, scope, organization, and underlying doctrine of the National Protection Framework.
  • The roles and responsibilities of Protection partners.
  • The core capabilities for Protection and actions required to deliver those capabilities.
  • The coordinating structures used to support Protection.
